In 1986, after serving 5 years as Assistant Pastors under Bishop C L Hines, Pastors John & Seadalia Weaver birthed what was then called Wildwood Holiness. After 14 years of leading and growth, Wildwood Holiness was relaunched as Shield of Faith Christian Center.

Shield of Faith Christian Center is a family-oriented ministry that strongly believes that family values hold great significance in today's society. John & Seadalia have 3 daughters, 2 sons, 3 son in laws, 2 daughter in laws, and 14 grandchildren.

To further their knowledge and development both John and Seadalia have engaged in theological studies at International Seminary in Plymouth Fl.

Bishop John is what we call the "Can-Man" because he simply CAN do anything! He's a Mechanic Man, Guitar Man, Preacher Man, Singing Man, and Fisherman; but most importantly, he's a Fisher of Man.

Pastor Seadalia is one of the most influential women you can come across! A woman of much wisdom and very nice and pleasant to be around. She is known for one of her favorite sayings "Shut the Pity Party Down." and is also well known for her famous old-school 7UP Pound Cakes.

OUR MISSION

As effective leaders our main goal is teach and preach the Word of God with anointing and power, in such a way that the body of Christ might be empowered by the Word. That their lives will completely transform. That they might be empowered to go out and do the great commission that God commanded all believers to do. That the Word of God will become such a prayer language for them that they will see those things they pray for manifest as they stand firm and trust the Word of God.
